Equipment is the world's first and most revolutionary firefighter locating system.
By utilizing Ultrasound, the system is able to determine the quickest PATH between you and firefighter in trouble. Pulse technology
will NOT confuse you and make you "walk through walls," but will rather tell you how to get AROUND those walls! It is a high-tech,
electronic rope that will help you find missing firefighters fast and effectively.
This unique system provides a means for fire department Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) to significantly decrease the time it takes
to find a downed firefighter. Field trials have shown Pulse to provide a reduction of as much as 50-80% of the time it would
normally take to locate a firefighter in a blind search within a smoke-filled structure. That precious time could be the difference
between performing a rescue and making a recovery.
And now Pulse has become even better. The technology has been integrated into SCBAs, allowing seamless operation... Automatically.
That is why we are pleased to announce that Summit Safety, Inc. has entered into agreement with Survivair to offer the world's first
Integrated Firefighter Locator. The existing Pulse equipment will now be marketed to the fire service under the new and explanatory
name: PATHFINDER™.
