Viking Z-Seven Integrated Beacon

This Pathfinder™ Beacon™, branded under the name EchoTracer™, is integrated into the 2007 NFPA 1981 compliant ISI® Viking Z-Seven SCBA. Fully automated, it leaves the firefighter to focus on the more important tasks at hand. All the firefighter has to due to ensure Pathfinder coverage, is turn on the air. When the cylinder valve is opened and the SCBA is charged, the integrated PASS device and the Beacon turn on. When when the PASS device goes into alarm mode, the Beacon transmits the Pathfinder signal, allowing the firefighter to be located QUICKLY.

The Viking Z-Seven Integrated Beacon provides automatic coverage of the firefighter. This seamless integration is possible because the Beacon is actually hard-wired into the electronics. Any Viking Z-Seven with an integrated PASS device can be upgraded with this Beacon.

    Firefighter does not have to remember to "turn on" the Beacon for proper operation.

    In addition to automatic operation, the streamlined Beacon is permantely and securely mounted to the SCBA, preventing the firefighter from "forgetting" or misplacing it on the fireground.
  • NFPA 1981 Certified
    Compliant for use with Viking Z-Seven SCBAs under NFPA 1981, Standard on Open-Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for Emergency Services, 2007 Edition.
  • Certified Intrinsically Safe
    Meets or exceeds the requirements of UL913 for use in Class 1, Division 1, Group A, B, C and D Hazardous Locations.
  • CBRN Protection
    NIOSH certified to protect from SC/PD/CBRN for NFPA 1981, 2007 Edition Viking Z-Seven SCBAs.
